0/20mm All In Ballast

Concrete and general drainage fill for construction projects

0/20mm ballast

Our high-quality 0/20mm Ballast is a premium primary sea-dredged aggregate. It is a carefully proportioned blend of 0/4mm Sharp Sand and sharp stones/gravel measuring up to 20mm, providing a heavy, durable mixture ideal for making concrete and providing coarse drainage fill.

This aggregate is naturally rugged, hard-wearing and coarse, ensuring that it provides excellent load-bearing capacity and stability when used in structural groundworks, sub-bases or heavy fill applications.

  • It features a coarser, more gravelly texture than standard sharp sand, making it essential for giving structural concrete its compressive strength.
  • Compliant to: Type A, 6H and 6K specifications.

  • Available for collection from Butser Quarry or for delivery in 5–29 tonne loads.

  • Concrete Production: The primary ingredient for site-mixed concrete. Simply mix with cement and water to create a robust, heavy-duty pour ideal for fence posts, path bases, foundations and structural footings.
  • General Drainage Fill: Due to the gravel content, it is highly effective as a coarse fill material for construction and utility projects where water flow needs to be managed around pipelines and sub-structures.
  • Sub-Bases & Bedding: Perfect for providing a rough, stable underlay or blinding layer for garden walls, conservatory bases, driveways and pathways before paving slabs or finish layers are laid.
  • Void Filling: An affordable and sturdy solution for filling large voids, trenches and deep groundworks on commercial or domestic construction sites.
