The civil engineering division of KAMM Group was formed in 2000 and since the early days they’ve had a strong reputation for providing a first class service that is always on time and on budget. They are a values-driven company who put their clients at the heart of what they do. All projects are done with utmost professionalism using quality materials while offering their clients full support and accessibility. Today they employ over 350 qualified personnel covering all aspects of groundworks and civil engineering from their head office near Bournemouth in Dorset.
KAMM’s initial requirement was an on-going need for skip hire at sites throughout the southern region. Some of these sites were outside of TJ’s operating area, meaning that our Nationwide Skip Hire Service would need to be utilised as well as our in-house Skip Hire for more local projects.
As a civil engineering company, they were also in need of a range of aggregates for a range of projects.
KAMM began utilising our Skip Hire and Nationwide Skip Hire Services in 2010. For the local projects we deliver our in-house skip hire service, providing a range of 8 and 12 yard skips. For the out of area projects, we sourced a trusted third party supplier who provided a 12-yard skip on a skip exchange basis. This meant that KAMM could exchange their full skip for an empty one as and when they needed to, which was often up to three times a week.
KAMM also started using TJ’s aggregate supply services in 2010 as well. As and when they have a requirement for aggregate on new sites, TJ are given the opportunity to submit rates in the hope of being added to the supplier list and we’re often successful. We’ve recently supplied 100 tonnes of 4/10mm Shingle, 240 tonnes of 10/20mm Shingle, 160 tonnes of 0/20mm All in Ballast, 80 tonnes of 0/2mm Building Sand, and 40 tonnes of As Dug Sand.
We offer a personalised, tailored service to all our customers and KAMM is no exception. Strong working relationships have been built and our drivers are always helpful and communicate well with the site staff to ensure that aggregates are dropped in the exact spot they are needed. We always ensure that a smooth and convenient service is provided.
