Our team of waste disposal experts are always on hand to provide advice and guidance on all types of waste and soil is no different. There are many different types of soil and what type you have to dispose of will determine how it is handled, transported and disposed of. We can help you identify your soil type, or simply provide the necessary services to remove and dispose of it for you – whatever your need, we can help.
There are many different types and grades of soil, so if you are a construction or groundworks company generating a lot of this type of waste, please contact us for more guidance and whether the materials may need to be treated prior to disposal. We work in partnership with a local contaminated land specialist to treat any contaminated soil we are asked to dispose of.
The Environment Agency can also assist with classifying different soil types by testing samples to see what chemical elements are present. We can guide you through this process, so please get in touch to find out more.
We’ve worked with UK Remediation for many years; we utilise their services to treat any contaminated soil that our clients ask us to remove and dispose of. UK Remediation is a group of contaminated land specialists with a wide range of experience in brownfield development. They are headquartered in Bristol, with hazardous and non-hazardous soil treatment facilities located in Hampshire, Devon and Cornwall.
UK Remediation uses their extensive knowledge, highly skilled staff and depth of expertise to successfully tackle an extensive range of projects. They provide safe and trusted soil remediation services, either on-site or off-site at their soil treatment facilities. Their work adheres to the strictest health and safety standards and they’re always ready to solve any contaminated land problem at hand.
Our business relationship is two-way; we use their services when we have aggregates that need to be treated either on behalf of our clients or as part of our own groundworks projects, and in turn, they utilise our haulage and muckaway services both for themselves and their clients as and when required.
Where the soil goes that we remove from your site depends on what type of soil it is and whether it is hazardous or non-hazardous. Any hazardous soil will be taken to a treatment facility to ensure it is safe and neutral before being transported to its final destination.
All the soil we remove will be repurposed in some way to ensure it is being put to good use and that none of it ends up in landfill. We utilise unwanted clean soil in many of our projects, such as land reinstatement, golf course construction and landscaping/groundworks projects.
If you’d like to discuss your soil removal needs, please get in touch! You can fill in our contact form or give us a call on 08000 463 964.
