Easy aggregate collections now available at Butser!

We’re now offering a range of aggregates for collection from Butser Quarry, which is located off the A3 near Petersfield. To place your order, simply select and pay for your aggregates online, then collect at a suitable time for you.

Aggregates are priced per tonne and available in quantities of 1 tonne – 20 tonne. Available aggregates include:

4/10mm Gravel (£30 per tonne)
Our 4/10mm Gravel is a primary multi-purpose aggregate, primarily sourced from sea dredging in the Southern Region or trusted inland quarries. It is free-draining and lacks sharp edges, preventing soil compaction and allowing surface water to flow away freely.

Sharp Sand (£30 per tonne)
Our 0/4mm Sharp Sand, also known as coarse sand, is a versatile primary aggregate designed for projects that demand a robust and stable foundation.

0/20mm All In Ballast (£30 per tonne)
Our high-quality 0/20mm Ballast is a premium primary sea-dredged aggregate. It is a carefully proportioned blend of 0/4mm Sharp Sand and sharp stones/gravel measuring up to 20mm, providing a heavy, durable mixture ideal for making concrete and providing coarse drainage fill.

10/20mm Gravel (£30 per tonne)
Our high-quality 10/20mm Gravel is a primary multi-purpose aggregate that is durable and versatile. It is primarily sourced via sea dredging in the Southern Region, though quarried stone alternatives are also available.

Type 1 Limestone (£30 per tonne)
Our Type 1 Limestone is a high-quality, crushed primary aggregate meticulously graded to meet the strict requirements of the Department of Transport’s Specification for Highway Works, Clause 803 (SHW 803).

Type 1 iBlend (£25 per tonne)
Our high-quality Recycled Type 1, iBlend, is a crushed secondary aggregate meticulously processed to provide a high-strength, sustainable load-bearing layer. It is primarily used as a foundational sub-base for highways, car parks, driveways and heavy-duty building foundations.

6F5 Crushed Concrete (£20 per tonne)
Our 6F5 Crushed Concrete is a premium, recycled general fill aggregate. It is an ‘as crushed’ product that is most commonly used for capping, laid over terrain (such as terram geotextile membranes) to raise and level natural ground ready for a Type 1 sub base layer. It is a highly cost-effective and sustainable alternative to primary quarried limestone for ground engineering.

BS 3882 Topsoil (£15 per tonne)
Our BS3882 Topsoil is a premium mixture of screened soil and PAS100 compost, creating an enriched, multi-purpose topsoil fully compliant with British Standards. It is the perfect choice for establishing healthy growth across general landscaping, turfing and planting projects.

1A Fill Rock Chalk (£15 per tonne)
Our 1A Fill Rock Chalk is a primary general fill aggregate, compliant with specifications 6E, 6R, 6F3, 6I, and 6J, making it the perfect choice for capping, ground-raising and heavy civil engineering applications. When laid over terram, its robust and natural composition helps create a stable, smooth and level surface ready for a Type 1 sub-base.

Road Planings (£20 per tonne)
Our high-quality road planings or scalpings are a sustainable, cost-effective recycled aggregate. They are the perfect solution for creating a durable, stable sub-base layer or hardstanding surface.
