New aggregate collection service now available at Butser Quarry

We’re now offering our customers the opportunity to collect small aggregate orders from our Quarry at Butser, near Petersfield, Monday – Saturday each week.

This comes at a time when garden and home projects are at an all-time peak, so DIY-ers or small-scale contractors who are embarking on a project are now able to collect their aggregates directly from us, allowing them to get the materials they need quickly and when they need them.

The materials available include As Dug Chalk, 6F5 Crushed Concrete, Type 1iBlend Recycled, 70/30mm Track Ballast SUDS and 0/10mm Screened Soil, all of which can be ordered for collection in loads of between 1 and 30 tonnes.

If you need these materials but are unable to collect, we can also offer you our delivery service utilising our vast and modern grab lorry fleet. We’ve recently taken delivery of a brand new grab lorry, with two more arriving before the end of the year.

To order, please call 01329 226446 (option 2) and email enquiries@tj-transport.co.uk with any enquiries. You can order them and if they’re in stock, collect them the same day or on your preferred day.

Prices for these materials are as follows, per tonne (exclusive of VAT):

  • As Dug Chalk: £11.00
  •  6F5 Crushed Concrete: £12.00
  •  Type 1 iBlend Recycled: £22.50
  • 70/30mm Track Ballast SUDS: £25.00
  •  0/10mm Screened Topsoil: £8.00

You can find us at: Butser Hill Chalk Quarry, A3, Petersfield, Hampshire, GU31 5SP.

In addition to this new collection/delivery service, another recent addition to our Butser Quarry service is that businesses are now able to tip hardcore and asphalt at the quarry free of charge.

All construction companies, contractors and those in the building industry can drop off unwanted concrete, bricks, paving slabs and stone during opening hours and as often as needed, for free.

We will crush the hardcore and use it to make several recycled aggregates that we produce in-house so you know it’s being put to good use, rather than simply going to landfill.

Many places charge per bag to dispose of this type of waste, so this option could provide the ideal solution to save your business some money going forward. Simply bring your hardcore and asphalt waste along to our Butser Quarry between 8am and 5pm, Monday to Friday.

To unload, you simply need to hold a waste carrier’s licence and be wearing a hard hat, hi-vis top and steel toed boots to ensure your safety.

Please call 01329 226446 (option 2) or email enquiries@tj-transport.co.uk with any queries or to place an order.
