TJ adds new vehicles to their fleet to further enhance customer service

We’re adding a number of new vehicles to our fleet, which will enable us to further enhance our customer service levels, which we prioritise in all that we do.

Spring is TJ Waste’s busiest time of year for domestic skip hire as customers are keen to get on with DIY and clearance projects now that winter is over and before summer arrives.

We’ve taken delivery of a new skip lorry prior to the Easter break, which will ensure an even higher level of availability for skip deliveries during this period.

Having this additional lorry will enable us to meet the needs of more customers to ensure they are happy with the delivery dates and service we can provide them with.

Our domestic skip hire is offered for a period of up to 14 days as standard, but you can request longer hire for longer-term projects, or arrange a skip exchange whereby your full skip is replaced with an empty one if your project is larger-scale. We also offer a 5% discount to customers who, at the time of booking, book their collection date for within 4 days of delivery.

Our drivers are extremely skilled, helpful and friendly; when undertaking deliveries or collections they will assist you in any way they can and answer any additional queries you may have. Our deliveries and collections are always undertaken quickly and efficiently with minimal disruption to your day.

Our entire fleet is modern and safe. Road safety and keeping our fleet in the best possible condition are amongst our top priorities. All of our vehicles – including our skip lorries – are part of a continual renewal and maintenance scheme so that they are always well looked after and safe on the roads.

Our drivers conduct daily safety checks at the start of their shifts, with any faults being reported immediately. All of our vehicles are fitted with safety equipment including 360 camera systems, high-visibility signage and beacons, and audible left turn signals.

In addition to the new skip lorry, we also have several vans on the way, which will be used by key members of TJ staff to enable them to fulfil their roles in the most efficient and effective way.

We are also expecting some new trailers to arrive by the end of the year, which will include our new walking floor trailers to help make our waste disposal more efficient. These will be in addition to the 100 vehicles already in our fleet, as well as the replacement of  some of our older vehicles, enabling us to maintain the high level of service we aim to provide.

One of our skip hire customers said:

“I kept changing my mind about what I needed and I was really unsure of what to go for but the staff were brilliant, so polite and great at accommodating my needs and advising me. Nothing was too much trouble for them.”
