TJ’s Bristol base continues to grow

TJ’s Bristol operation is continuing to grow with the recent addition of a second grab lorry as well as a road sweeper vehicle to its fleet. This takes TJ’s Bristol fleet to a total of 14 vehicles – the road sweeper, two grab lorries and 11 tipper trucks.

The road sweeper has a 360 camera system, high-visibility signage/beacons and audible left turn signal, ensuring safety is prioritised at all times. The sweeper has availability now for hire in the Avonmouth area and with a choice of hourly or daily hire rates, it offers excellent value for money. Get in touch to find out more or make a booking!

Our 18-tonne road sweeper has an array of street cleaning equipment, enabling them to effectively clean many surfaces and areas, including drains. We provide an all-inclusive service whereby as well as collecting the dirt and waste in and around your site for you, we also take it away and dispose of it.

Typical users of road sweeper services include schools, councils, facilities management companies, event organisers (for clean up operations post event) and of course, construction companies.

Construction companies utilise road sweepers to ensure that the roads surrounding their sites are kept clean. Our sweeper will routinely clean the area around the exit of the site, as well as the neighbouring roads, sweeping up materials that are transferred on vehicles’ wheels. By opting to use our service you can ensure cleanliness around your site, portraying a professional operation.

Our two grab lorries are used for a range of aggregate and material deliveries as well as a range of muckaway services including construction projects, road maintenance and driveway renewals.

These two additions have created more work for TJ’s Bristol team which resulted in Transport Operator Emma Disney increasing her hours from part-time to full-time on 1 July. Emma is now responsible for looking after the drivers during the day shift, which is a very varied role.

This includes booking in jobs and scheduling them into drivers’ workloads. If a job gets cancelled or postponed, Emma will liaise with the driver to reroute them onto another task to ensure their time is being well-used. She also logs all the drivers’ hours to monitor that they are sticking to the tacho rules.
