BUTSER ROCK CHALK UTILISED TO BUILD NOISE BUND
TJ Transport is supplying Butser rock chalk to engineering groundworks company BCT Services (South) Ltd who have been tasked with creating a noise bund to shield Worthing residents from the neighbouring A27.

First phase of Butser Quarry reinstatement commences
TJ has started the reinstatement of Butser Quarry following five years of quarrying at the site. This is the first phase of the reinstatement – there are still several years of quarrying to take place –  but once refilled, the whole site will be returned to arable land.

Work to start at Test Valley Golf Club
Work will soon be commencing at Test Valley Golf Club, after TJ’s golf course construction team spent a number of weeks over the summer preparing the site ready for the work. This involved creating a compound for the plant and materials to be stored, installing site infrastructure and building temporary roads in and out of the construction area.

TJ Transport recently provided haulage services to HWM Group, a hazardous waste management company who were fulfilling a contract to clear soils from a site in West Sussex.

TJ assists in Bognor Amazon Distribution Centre groundworks project
TJ Transport is currently assisting in a project to prepare the ground for the construction of a new Amazon distribution warehouse on the outskirts of Bognor Regis. TJ has been employed by Wordsworth Excavations, to assist in the initial groundworks stage of the project, which is now underway.

TJ employee runs London Marathon to raise money for the Rainbow Centre
TJ’s Commercial Manager Paul Smith successfully completed the TCS London Marathon 2023 on Sunday in just 3 hours 12 minutes, an improvement of 7 minutes on his time in the 2021 event! Paul ran the race to raise money for the Rainbow Centre.

Work to commence at Test Valley Golf Club
Work can now commence on the planned project at Test Valley Golf Club, following permission being granted at Hampshire County Council’s March planning meeting. TJ was awarded the contract to improve and upgrade facilities on the golf course in Summer 2021 so it’s great news that the project can now get underway.

2022: the year in review
